Dear colleagues,
It is our pleasure to invite you to the 2nd International Conference on Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus (ICCLE), which will be held as a satellite meeting of International Investigative Dermatology in Kyoto May14-17, 2008. In 2004, the first ICCLE was organized by A.Kuhn, T.Ruzicka, P.Lehmann, M.Schneider and R.D.Sontheimer in September in Dusseldorf, Germany. As you know, ICCLE 2004 was a great success. ICCLE 2008 will cover recent advances in the understanding and treatment of systemic and cutaneous lupus erythematosus from both a basic research and clinical perspective, and also focus on related diseases such as anti-phospholipid syndrome, Sjogren's syndrome, vasculitis, autoinflammatory syndrome, and dermatomyositis. The conference will consist of lectures by invited international experts on dermatology, immunology and rheumatology, as well as oral and poster presentation of submitted abstracts. It is our sincere hope that the physicians and researchers interested in lupus erythematosus and related autoimmune diseases will assemble in Kyoto and collaborate to pave the way for new and bold breakthroughs in research and treatments.
